Construction materials to Turkmenistan

Private wagons

Starting August 2006, ETAMAD has begun the dispatches of 100 units Second Hand Double Deck Car Transport Wagons named Hccrrs. The entire lot has been dispatched in 5 separate shipments. Along with this project Etamad has built strong partnerships with Bulgarian and Turkish companies, for the railway transport section.

Automotive spare parts from Romania – 151.000 CBM

The automotive project is handled by regular tilt trucks. This lot of engines has been loaded in Western Europe, with transshipment in Bucharest.

Because of the transshipment, the quality procedures had to be supervised as being applied, and constantly the upgrade of the cargo to be effected also in the “in & out” reports.

No damage has been registered during this flow, all cargo being delivered on safe conditions.

Heavy power transformers shipping

The Trafo project has been the definition of multimodal transports implemented in ETAMAD logistics. Because of the different weights and different destinations each and every power transformer had to have a specific handling & loading procedure. For example: the transformers had been dispatched to Constanta port by special wagons. In Constanta, at ferry boat berth, we transshipped the cargo onto low-bed trailers and dispatched it by RO-RO ferry to Derince and to the final destination by own wheels. Iulie/August 2008- Kuwait Free Zone – 100 mts; May 2008 – April 2009– Jordan 80 – 200 mts; June 2009- Baku (52 mts x 2)

Bogie for passenger coaches

The bogies project started in 2009 and is still continuing. The cargo’s dimensions are fitted only for railway transportation and we have encountered few difficulties in issuing the logistical procedures: the delivery lots are small so the transport costs are justified only on this condition, the delivery point is a remote and isolated place, the cargo needs to be transhipped in Turkey. To conclude the above, this project has been a logistical challenge but our team managed to deliver 6 lots up to now, about 100 bogie packages.

Leg Crane Barge from South Korea

In April we successfully managed to load a 3240 tonne sheer leg crane barge onto the Dockwise ship, MV Teal in Busan/South Korea. The cross-trade transport has been handled from Korea to Persian Gulf. The all operation has been managed by our superintendent.

Tug boats transported the crane barge to the submersible side of MV Teal. All the lines had first to be secured in order for the loading to commence. After the crane barge crossed the main deck and was in position the deballasting started. Once the hooks were secured and the main deck was dry, the seafastening was prepared. Our superintendent concluded: On basis of my inspection i can conclude that the 1000 TON Sheer Leg Floating Crane Barge SALKO” was safely loaded on board at Heavy Load Carrier TEAL st George Island – South of Korea on 8-th of April 2010 without any damage to cargo or vessel , found to be safe and secured with proper lashing for sea transport.” After a 20 days voyage the sheer leg crane barge has been deployed to Persian Gulf. This floating crane barge it’s one the largest in the Persian Gulf and now it’s used for the removal of sunken ships.

Crew Boats from Malaysia

A delicate operation: 2 boats, 35 meters long & 110 mts each. For each of them a special three point suspension lifting system had to be arranged.

The most difficult part of the operation has been the fixing of the lifting slings under water which had to be handled very carefully, because of the strong currents. After that, the board cranes of MV “Beluga Fairy” easily raised the crew boats out of the water and placed them onto the hatches. As the all operation has been timely preparation the loading can be considered a fast one.

Automotive projects Europe

The automotive project is handled by regular tilt trucks. This lot of engines has been loaded in Western Europe for final destination Middle East, with transshipment in Bucharest.

Because of the transshipment, the quality procedures had to be supervised as being applied, and constantly the upgrade of the cargo to be effected also in the “in & out” reports.

No damage has been registered during this flow, all cargo being delivered on safe conditions.

Locomotives shipment from South Korea

The locomotives project started in September 2010 and this is the 5th lot to deliver to Persian Gulf.

The 10 locomotives were loaded successfully within two working days on M/ V King Feast and she sailed on the 18th of January 2012.

Wheelsets from Romania – 200 containers

In summer 2011, ETAMAD has started a project for movement of 2000 pcs. Wheelsets from Bals/ROMANIA to Persian Gulf. The fist lot of containers has been dispatched in August 2011, the second and the third lot are scheduled for October and November 2011. Our logistic team has developed the procedure with minimal costs at the quality required by the client, meaning no transhipment of the cargo on the way to destination.

Cement & Asphalt plants – Iraq

The moving of an entire plant has been indeed a challenge because the loadings had to be made as the factories were dismantled. Practically we never knew what kind of trucks were needed: open-top, mega, jumbo, normal tilt trucks, low-beds. As the dispatch was urgent the trucks needed to wait for the dismantling and not vice-versa.

After a 10 days continuous loading we have dispatched the both entire plants. The trucks reached the destination safe and secure, being properly lashed.

Construction equipment for Iraq

We transported new and used construction equipment of all kinds and sizes – from small excavators on semi-low loaders to large machines on drop decks or crawler decks suited for loads under 50 tons. The delivery of different vehicles has been affected safe and secure, being lashed properly at the loading place. After a 10 days transit over Bulgaria and Turkey the equipment was delivered at the Kirkuk site.
